During the eighth evening of the 19th edition of the Mawazine Festival – Rythmes du Monde, “the diva of Arab song”, Samira Said, offered, Friday evening at the Mohammed V National Theater, a masterful show that transported her audience on a captivating artistic journey. In front of a full house, the Moroccan artist was warmly welcomed by her fans who came to show their deep attachment to this creative and versatile artist who has earned the title of “Diva” after decades of uninterrupted artistic creation.

Dressed in an authentic Moroccan caftan that reflects her pride in her cultural identity, Samira Said expressed her great joy at participating in this global artistic festival, highlighting the emotional connection she has with the Mohammed V National Theater where she made her debut at the age of nine.

“I am coming back today to sing again on this emblematic stage during an exceptional evening where memories of the past mingle with the present! “, did she say.

To the delight of her fans, she performed famous hits from her rich repertoire such as “Youm Wara Youm”, “Aal Bal”, “Ma Hasalsh Haga”, and “Mazal Mazal”, as well as other iconic songs that the audience responded in unison, giving this exceptional concert a vibrant and interactive atmosphere.

The diva also offered the Moroccan public a compilation of classic and modern Moroccan songs, which she recorded in partnership with pioneering figures of Moroccan music in the 1980s, including “Yemken Fayet Li Chaftek” and “Qalbi Mata’aleq Balmouhal”, composed by the late Abdelkader Rachdi and written by the late Fathallah El Mghari in 1982.

Samira Saïd’s new artistic productions were strongly present during this captivating concert, notably her song “Kazab”, released in Egyptian dialect a month ago and which has already garnered more than two million views on YouTube.

In a statement to MAP, Afaf indicated that she was attending a Samira Saïd concert for the first time, expressing her “great admiration” for all her works and artistic productions, “especially the old ones, which I repeat all the time “.

As for Rachida, she expressed, in a similar statement, her great joy at attending the concert of “the diva of Arab song” during this year’s Mawazine Festival, stressing that Samira Saïd “continues to honor Morocco and to make us proud on various occasions with his refined art.”

Held under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI, the 19th edition of the Mawazine Festival – Rythmes du Monde (June 21-29) is organized by the Maroc Cultures Association, under the banner of “diversity and celebration”.

An unmissable event for music lovers and enthusiasts in Morocco, this artistic event is considered among the largest cultural events in the world, offering a rich and demanding program that mixes the biggest stars of the world and Arab repertoire, making the cities of Rabat and Salé the scene of exceptional encounters between the public and renowned artists.
