More beautiful life: summary of the episode of June 28, 2024

Steve disappears

At the Mistral, Steve has a meeting with Ariane to introduce her to Bibac, the start-up for which he works. Mira approaches Steve and asks for his advice on buying a television. After selecting the model, Steve tries to complete the payment via the Bibac app, but unfortunately the payment fails. Cooled by this bug, Ariane decides to end the meeting. Steve then checks his computer and attempts to resolve the problem.

A few minutes later, Nisma meets Steve near the Massalia residence. The young man seems in a hurry and is holding a travel bag in his hand. Nisma asks him where he is going, but he replies that he will explain everything to her when he returns. Nisma insists. Steve asks him to trust him. Then he gets into a vehicle and leaves.

During the day, Nisma is worried. She tries to contact Steve by phone, but he doesn’t answer. Mirta is also worried, because she and Luna can no longer log into their Bibac accounts. She begins to wonder if Steve might have scammed them.

Patrick has morbid thoughts

At breakfast, Patrick compares funeral conventions and asks his wife if she prefers to be cremated or buried. He explains to Babeth that it is important to make arrangements while he is alive, because otherwise the burial will be the responsibility of the children. Léa joins her parents. She finds that Patrick is not entirely wrong. Moreover, she herself knows that she wants to be cremated and that her organs will be removed if possible. Babeth finds the discussion too gloomy and decides to leave the table.

A little later in the day, Babeth receives a funeral arrangement from her husband. She finds that he is depressed since he was taken for Raphaël’s grandpa and not his father. She therefore seeks advice from Mehdi, the psychologist. He tries to reassure her by explaining that everyone has their own way of facing their fears.

At the end of the day, Yolande comes to look after Raphaël because Babeth wants to go to a salsa bar with Patrick, but the latter prefers to stay under the covers watching a film or go to a restaurant. Babeth is dismayed and decides to come out to her mother.

Will Samuel and Jennifer separate?

Following the burglary of his apartment, Samuel contacted the police. Ariane and forensic technicians are sent to the scene. Lieutenant Hersant informed her colleague that the thief was wearing gloves. The PTS did not in fact find any fingerprints other than those of Samuel and Jennifer. Ariane then asks Samuel who knew about the existence of the hiding place in the fireplace. Samuel claims that only he and Jennifer knew where he kept his service weapon. After the police leave, Samuel and Jennifer tidy up the apartment ransacked by the burglars. The medical secretary swears to her boyfriend that she had locked the door, but he doesn’t want to hear it. Samuel tells Jennifer that if she continues to lie to him, he will no longer be able to believe her. Then, he shows her the receipt on which it says “Peanut Butter” and points out that the receipt was on his desk at the doctor’s office. Jennifer is stunned because she has never purchased this food. Samuel replies that in his eyes, she is like a stranger, and that he does not know who she really is. Hurt by these words, Jennifer leaves the apartment in tears.

She shows up at the doctor’s office 40 minutes late. Gabriel is furious and reframes it. Jennifer apologizes and admits that she should have warned. Gabriel points out that she makes mistakes and accumulates delays. He recommends that she make an appointment with the office psychologist and get her act together quickly. Once Gabriel leaves, Jennifer bursts into tears. As always, Pascal is never far away and offers the medical secretary a cappuccino and cereal bar to cheer her up. Jennifer tells him that he is so nice to her even though she wrongly accused him, then hugs him.

Jennifer and Pascal go to the beach for lunch. The medical secretary is not very hungry, but gives in when Pascal gives her a chocolate fondant. Jennifer then asks her colleague why he doesn’t turn his back on her unlike everyone else. Pascal replies that he doesn’t like seeing others suffer. Jennifer points out that he is being served with her because she is not doing well at all. Pascal explains to her that to understand what is happening to her, she must look deep in her heart. He then asks her if her problems could be linked to an old trauma that she would have buried inside herself. Her colleague’s words upset Jennifer who prefers to leave.

At the doctor’s office, Jennifer discovers Samuel’s service weapon in her handbag. Right at the same time, the door opens. Surprised, Jennifer points her gun at Gabriel and Samuel.
