Carrefour acknowledges unfortunate mistake

The brand, very famous among consumers, has launched a procedure concerning cooked and smoked chickens, sold in plastic in stores. Rest assured: no E. coli bacteria or salmonella in sight. This is, a priori, good quality meat, without health risks. The problem rather comes from the packaging, which could cause serious misunderstandings among customers of Carrefour supermarkets.

  • You could find these products in all Carrefour points of sale in France, from June 25 to 28.

The most attentive will undoubtedly have noticed: The batches targeted by the recall do not have an expiration date. At least, nothing is mentioned on the packaging about this. In fact, these chickens should not be consumed after July 15. The use-by date is part of the mandatory information on the label.
