Leisure – Fragrant visit to the Chemins de la Rose

Les Chemins de la Rose welcome visitors to a 4-hectare shaded park where more than 10,000 rose bushes bloom to be discovered along a thematic trail. A stroll through the rose fields can be done aboard a 2CV (in July and August) for lovers of the unusual, or through a treasure hunt for adventurous young souls. After this visit with a thousand scents, head to the restaurant which offers a magnificent view of the English garden. Walkers can then go to the shop which offers many varieties of rose bushes and multiple rose-based products.

Wine tourism – Tasting at the Domaine de l’Enchantoir

Nestled in the heart of the Saumur vineyards, in Puy-Notre-Dame, Domaine de l’Enchantoir cultivates 15 hectares of organic vines of Chenin, Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay, traditional grape varieties of the Saumur region. This family estate offers a 1.5-hour tour to discover the secrets of winemaking through an immersive walk among the vines, followed by an exploration of the historic troglodyte cellars, appreciated for their mild temperatures! The tour ends with a guided wine tasting, offering an insight into the unique terroir that characterizes the wines of Domaine de l’Enchantoir.

Restaurant – Break at the Caves de Marson

It is in an unusual setting that the restaurant Les caves de Marson invites gourmets to taste fouées, small breads baked in a wood-fired oven to be garnished according to your desires with goat cheese, mogettes, rillettes and other regional delicacies. The restaurant is nestled in troglodyte caves dug into the tuffeau, the emblematic white stone of the region.
