Heatwave Prevention
Heatwave Prevention

During periods of high heat and risk of heatwaves, the City of Saumur and the Communal Center of ASocial Action (CCAS) raise awareness, alert and fight against health risks, particularly among the most vulnerable groups.

Registration on the heatwave register

During periods of extreme heat, people registered on the heatwave register benefit from regular, free monitoring, adapted to their situation, and are contacted by the City of Saumur to check on their state of health. Confidential, it lists vulnerable people (elderly or disabled, isolated, living alone at home, with significant mobility and/or health difficulties, and/or unsuitable housing).

How to register ?

  • At user reception points (Town Hall, Delegated Town Halls, CCAS, Espace Jean Rostand & Espace Jacques Percereau)
  • By email, by completing and returning the form below:

During a heatwave, be vigilant by regularly checking in on vulnerable people around you (parents, friends, neighbours) and report to the CCAS anyone experiencing difficulties in the face of extreme temperatures!
