The CM1 and CM2 pupils at the Saint-Joseph school were able to enjoy a unique experience at the end of the school year: the production of a film with the help of Pantomimes Lumineuses, an audiovisual creation company which works with young audiences.

It’s a different way to escape than an end-of-year trip. For a whole week, the CM students transformed themselves into actors, directors, voice actors… And for the subject of the film, “the students chose their story”, specifies Christine Brun, head of the establishment. Thanks to a summary of their ideas, Fabien, the director, was able to structure the project, write the dialogues…

All the techniques and professions of cinema covered

And the students have a lot to say about this adventure. “It’s a film with ghosts and ghost hunters,” explains Camille. But there is also friendship, jokes. And then we worked with a green background! » All the techniques and professions of cinema were covered through workshops in which the students participated in groups. “There are also special effects,” explains Juliette, “and this morning, we did the credits. »

Nahel reveals a little of the synopsis. “There are thefts from a museum and a small investigation. » “Things also disappear in a bakery,” adds Clémence. “The ghosts are released by the thieves,” describes Zachari. The mystery thickens and to find out more, you will have to wait for the screening of the film which will take place in the presence of the parents.

In total, four speakers from the Pantomimes Lumineuses took the students into this mysterious world of cinema. A world that the children now know a little better and of which they were able to see almost all aspects.
