This is an evening not to be missed at the Le Tube concert hall in Seignosse. On July 6, three members of the Lanvin family are on the program: a unique date with Manu, Gérard and Léo. All three are on separate tours but have arranged to meet at the same place in the Landes.
Manu will offer the rock and blues that have made him successful for around twenty years, a few days after the very recent release of his excellent album “Tribute to Calvin Russell”, a tribute to the American singer Calvin Russell.
There will also be Gérard, a sacred monster of French cinema who needs no introduction. This evening will be an opportunity to discover his talent behind a microphone with a deep voice and chiseled lyrics. To end the evening, there will be the house touch, the “after” as they say, with DJ Saint Lanvain (Léo), who has become a pillar of the new French touch.
“I like reaching out to people”
“For me it’s a return to the region… in my early days I toured a lot in the South-West, I played in naturist camps, small village bars, we played hats with my drummer like the old jazzmen. I always like this contact, reaching out to people and going into hiding! », Books Manu. “This evening at the Tube will be a great evening of sharing with the public and with family, my father with his blues rock, me with a more muscular sound and house and a nightclub atmosphere to finish off well. »
Manu is now a renowned French bluesman, who “struggled as he should” to use his words. He now performs at a series of renowned festivals. With this experience, has he given his father some advice for his new career on stage?
“No need,” he replies straight away. He knows the stage well because he started in the café theater… the only difference with the cinema is that you are only allowed one take! It’s more exciting, there are no extras in front. It’s his best role, being the lead singer and Gérard loves it! »
