The first round of legislative elections in the 11th and 14th constituencies of Bouches-du-Rhône has delivered its verdict. As elsewhere, it is unfavorable to the candidates of the presidential majority which presented two outgoing deputies: Mohamed Laqhila in the 11th constituency and Anne-Laurence Petel in the 14th, both re-elected in 2022. They arrive in 3rd position and will have to choose between the maintenance or withdrawal for the second round. The national order expressed by Gabriel Attal is withdrawal to block the National Rally. But yesterday evening Mohamed Laqhila asked the candidate of the New Popular Front, who came in 2nd position, to withdraw. The second round of the legislative elections will be held next Sunday, July 7.

According to estimates from the prefectures, between 285 and 315 constituencies are in a triangular situation for the second round due to the strong rate of participation.
