Charges have been filed against a suspect in the murder of Tory Dunn.

Context:

On June 16, 2024, Surrey RCMP responded to a call at a residence near the 9800 block of 182A Street in Surrey. Upon arrival, members located a woman, later identified as 30-year-old Tory Dunn, suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite taking measures to provide assistance, Ms. Dunn succumbed to her injuries. While en route to the scene, officers located 40-year-old Adam Troy Mann of Ontario, who was later taken into custody in connection with the homicide with the assistance of Integrated Police Dog Services (IPS).

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), which has taken charge of the investigation, is working closely with Surrey RCMP, the BC Coroner’s Service and the Integrated Forensic Identification Services to advance the investigation.
On June 28, 2024, the British Columbia Prosecution Service approved a charge of second-degree murder against Adam Troy Mann, who remains in custody, in connection with the homicide of Tory Dunn.

IHIT will continue to work with the Surrey RCMP to gather evidence and find answers,” says Sergeant Timothy Pierotti of the IHIT. “This tragic event has shaken the entire community. The EIEH is asking anyone who has residential video surveillance or dash cam footage from June 16, 2024 between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., in the area of ​​the 9800 block of 182A Street, to call the number from the EIEH information line, 1-877-551-IHIT (4448), or contact the EIEH by email at [email protected].
