He announced that he would not be a candidate for the second round in the 1st constituency of the Loire.
Arriving in third place with 23.72%, behind Pierrick Courbon (New Popular Front) at 40.34% and Marie Simon (National Rally) at 31.97%, Quentin Bataillon had the possibility of staying in the second round. But as of yesterday evening, for these scenarios, the presidential majority was clear in calling on its candidates to withdraw in order to block the National Rally.

“Dear fellow citizens of the first constituency of the Loire, For two years, on a daily basis and with sincerity, I have acted and voted in your sole interest. Together we have obtained concrete results for our associations and our municipalities. I thank all the elected officials, all the association leaders and all the voters who have placed their trust in me. There are 3,108 more than in 2022. Today, in conscience and responsibility, I have decided to respond to Pierrick Courbon’s call for help. Despite my qualification for the second round of these legislative elections, I will withdraw. Our territory deserves better than an elected official from the RN who despises it by her absence. This withdrawal must call on the candidate of the New Popular Front to find the path of social democracy in terms of substance and methods. We will be vigilant. My attachment and commitment to Saint-Etienne and our constituency are intact.”.
So there will be a duel in this 1st constituency of the Loire between the New Popular Front represented by Pierrick Courbon and the National Rally of Marie Simon.
