After seeing Diambars go down to Ligue 2, Bruno Rohart will leave his position as coach. After several years in Senegal, the French technician will return to France, for a new role at Pau FC.

Diambars’ adventure in Ligue 2, at least for next season, will therefore be without Bruno Rohart. The 56-year-old technician, who led the Saly team to the final of the 2021 Senegal Cup and to second place in the Ligue 1 Championship last season, was unable to avoid relegation to Ligue 2 at the end of this 2023-2024 financial year. According to our information, Rohart will therefore leave the 2013 Senegalese champions.

During a very difficult season, the Boulogne-sur-Mer native never wanted to speak publicly about his future, out of respect for Diambars, which he joined in 2021. After discussions with its president Saer Seck, the former general manager of Dakar Sacré-Cœur was to become technical director of the club but he decided not to extend his contract which ended at the end of his third campaign at Diambars.

Rohart to become Pau FC training director

His decision therefore leads him to leave not only the club but also Senegal. Several teams have shown an interest in Bruno Rohart, even approached in the Gulf. But the technician has chosen to return to France to be closer to his family. Thus, still according to our informationtraining, he will become the director of training and head of the Pau FC reserve. He will also have an assistant role in Nicolas Usaï’s staff.
