INFO MIDI LIBRE. Edeis had already been managing Roman monuments since 2021. It won the contract with, new, the development of the Maison Saurel in the Jardins de la Fontaine into a cultural café. This will be the subject of a deliberation at the municipal council on Saturday, July 8.

The Edeis company will retain management of the Roman monuments of Nîmes for eight years as part of the renewal of the public service delegation from November 1, 2024. A deliberation at the next municipal council on Saturday, July 8, should ratify this choice.

€44 million contract

Since November 1, 2021, Edeis has been managing the arenas, the Maison Carrée, and the Tour Magne. Now, in the new contract, the Maison Saurel in the Jardins de la Fontaine will also have to be renovated to transform it into a kind of cultural café or bistro venue. The contract amount is €44 million excluding VAT.

Two other companies were in the running for this DSP. These were Culturespaces, which had managed the Roman monuments for nine years until 2021, and Kléber Roussillon. Representatives of the candidates had visited Maison Saurel at the beginning of the year before going through the auditions. It was ultimately Edeis that won this DSP.
