Two people were arrested on June 27 in Amos during a search carried out by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
This operation was carried out in a residence on 5th Street West in Amos. According to reports from the SQa woman in her forties was arrested for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking
and a man in his thirties was arrested for have narcotics in his possession
.
Police officers from the Abitibi MRC station seized 40 methamphetamine tablets, 20 grams of cocaine, 20 grams of crack cocaine, around fifty prescription medications and cannabis.
Both individuals could face charges at a later date in connection with these offences.
