Regarding this second action, the FDSEA and JA de la Manche explain:

The quality of French agricultural products is a known and recognized asset. Our French agricultural production is sufficiently diverse to meet the multiple expectations of consumers: conventional products meeting high requirements, differentiated products and under official quality signs, farm products sold in shorter circuits, etc. The European and national regulatory obligations that must be respected by farmers are among the strictest in the world and guarantee a high level of safety for the consumer. The Egalim law requires a minimum of 50% of quality, sustainable products to be supplied to out-of-home catering, including at least 20% of organic products. But also, the implementation via ambitious territorial food programs (PAT), open to all agricultural systems, fair remuneration for the qualitative efforts of farmers, complete and reliable information on the traceability aspect and origin of products on the both fresh and processed products.
