Jérôme Le Banner, K-1 legend, sent a message of encouragement to Benoit Saint-Denis following his KO defeat against Dustin Poirier at UFC 299.

Jérôme Le Banner sees in Saint-Denis a worthy successor, capable of flying the colors of French MMA; he spoke about the French UFC fighter in the show Chill & Fight. Despite the defeat and the difficulties encountered, Le Banner is convinced that Saint-Denis has the mentality and the abilities to reach the summit. He even compares his younger brother’s journey to his own, marked by resounding victories, but also setbacks.

The Banner calls on Saint-Denis to get up and pursue his dream, reminding us that in sport as in life, nothing is impossible: “I would tell him, even if you fell 99 times, you’re going to get up 100 times, buddy. Yes, I find myself in him. (…) It’s going to be a little difficult, but I think that with him, nothing is impossible. He has a mind of steel, did he declare. Words which should comfort and motivate the French fighter, currently recovering, but already looking towards his return to the octagon.

Saint-Denis is now targeting UFC Paris 2024 on September 28 to get back into the ring. The names of his potential opponents are already circulating: Rafael Fiziev and Dan Hooker are among the possible options. This new challenge will be an opportunity for Saint-Denis to confirm his talent and put his mentor’s advice into practice. The duel promises to be intense and MMA fans can’t wait to see the budding “God of War” in action.
