Best support young children in their development in society. A philosophy that the Manosquin association Collectif Petite Enfance has been carrying for 40 years now.
A symbolic anniversary which was recently celebrated by all the members of the structure. This was held in the new premises, at the Château de Drouille.
“For 20 years, we lived in La Ponsonne in an individual house, says Audrey Goncalves, coordinator of the association. Since the summer of 2021, we have moved to Château de Drouille. We took advantage of the 40th anniversary to also be able to formalize our move. We had to rethink our project. The spaces are beautiful and there is a very large garden. We have notably created a vegetable garden in recent years.”
“We welcome around 30 different nationalities”
Open Monday to Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (excluding school holidays), the association welcomes 24 children per half-day. So around a hundred per week (from 18 months until starting school). There are five childcare professionals who offer early-learning activities, but also support for parents in their new parental role.
Regarding the objectives, “The aim is to create a place where children can come before school, continues Audrey Goncalves. A bridge between home and school to work on the separation between parent and child, but also socialization, community, etc. We work a lot around the five senses, motor skills, visual arts and even nature.” In terms of prices, they depend on the income of each family.
