Vannes finalizes its recruitment for the Top 14 with some heavyweights!

The Vannes club will play in the Top 14 next season.

The Bretons won the Pro D2 final against Grenoble and lifted the Pro D2 Shield.

Thanks to this victory, they have given themselves the right to discover the Top 14 in the weeks to come.

Obviously, the Vannes management is working hard to build a competitive group since the 2024/2025 season is bound to be very complicated for this promoted team that has never known the elite.

As confirmed by Midi Olympique on Monday, Vannes has managed to recruit experienced players in recent weeks.

Thus, Racing 92 center Francis Saili signed up as did Castres winger Filipo Nakosi.

The two players were not retained by their respective clubs because they were not JIFF.

For its part, Vannes will be able to benefit from an exemption concerning its JIFF quota because it is a club promoted to the Top 14.

Third row Francilien Kitione Kamikamica also signed up for Vannes. It has JIFF status for its part.

The same goes for Pau second row Fabrice Metz who will continue his career in Vannes.

Still according to Midi Olympique, the Vannes leaders are now waiting to obtain the signature of the English international pillar Mako Vunipola.

The player has been in negotiations with the Breton club for several days.

The bi-weekly indicates that the file should be finalized in the coming days.

To be continued…
