The first round of elections on Sunday, June 30 is over in the Loire. What to remember.

The only outgoing Macronist MP from the Loire region takes a serious blow in the first constituency of Saint-Etienne during the first round of the 2024 legislative elections.

The New Popular Front far ahead in Saint-Etienne

1st constituency (Saint-Etienne north):

  • Pierrick Courbon (New Popular Front/PS/EELV): 40,23% (16,778 votes)
  • Marie Simon (National Rally): 31.97% (13,296 votes)
  • Quentin Bataillon (Together): 23.72% (9,864 votes)

Abstention : 33,68%.

Radio silence at Bataillon

Quentin Bataillon (Ensemble), outgoing deputy of the presidential majority, finished 3rd with 23.72%. If he follows the Prime Minister’s instructions, he should withdraw.

Last Battalion did not react (at least on its social networks) to the results.

Courbon’s winning return

Note the very good score of Pierrick Courbon (NFP) who finished 1ᵉʳ. In 2022, he was beaten, in particular because of competition on the left with Lætitia Copain (Nupes).

Marie Simon, 55, resident of Saint-Chamond, finished second for the National Rally.
