Rabah Slimani confirms his departure from ASM Clermont

Rabah Slimani will no longer wear the ASM Clermont jersey next season. Christophe Urios explained it this Tuesday on our website. And the player himself confirmed his departure, via a message posted on his account Instagramce week-end.

After seven seasons in Auvergne, Rabah Slimani (34 years old) will leave ASM Clermont this summer and join the Irish province of Leinster. At the end of his contract, the 34-year-old pillar was not kept by the Auvergne club, as Christophe Urios explained on Tuesday on our website.

This Saturday, the pillar with 57 selections for the Blues, confirmed his departure from ASM via a message posted on his account Instagram. “After seven wonderful years at Clermont, one last adventure and one last challenge awaits me. I would like to thank the ASM club and its directors for giving me this chance for seven years to play in this emblematic club,” said the player, who also had a word for the different coaches he worked alongside at Clermont, the staff, the administrative staff, his teammates, as well as the supporters “who have always been with us.”

“I’m just taking a different path in my career. A new challenge.
But a part of my heart remains yellow and blue and Auvergne,” he concluded.

As a reminder, Rabah Slimani completed his medical examination with Leinster. All that remains now is for his arrival to be made official.
