Mas d'Azilienne pétanque hosted, at the Mas d'Azil Multimedia Cultural Center, the general assembly of the Ariège Departmental Committee for pétanque and Provençal games. Alongside the departmental president Bruno Picazo and the office, we noted the presence of Daniel Simon, president of the Mas d'Azilienne pétanque; Raymond Berdou, mayor of Mas d'Azil and departmental councilor, as well as Muriel Freyche, departmental councilor. In 2024, the Ariège Departmental Committee had 2,487 members (including 20% women and 5.6% young people) who practiced their favorite sport in one of the 42 Ariège clubs. In 2025, will see the creation of a new club within the Departmental Committee, it is the Boule du Besplas (La Bastide de Besplas).
Emilie Vignères, French head-to-head championIn 2024, 21 Ariège teams participated in the various regional championships and one team was entered in the national championship, having obtained varying success.
