Free concerts with the Brass festival in Dombes • La Voix de l’Ain

On June 15, a series of free concerts began in the Dombist villages. The Cuivres en Dombes Festival invites the public to open their ears and leave their prejudices aside.

Cuivres en Dombes compensates for unpredictable weather with its warm and festive programming. The Festival, which glorifies brass instruments, launched its series of free shows entitled “Aperitif Concerts” on Saturday June 15 in Sulignat with the 5 Fantastiques fanfare from Aindin. The name immediately gives an idea of the concept: allowing the public to discover musical training accompanied by a drink and some treats. Cuivres en Dombes wanders from village to Dombist village, setting up its happy bazaar in public squares. Thursday July 4, the second meeting of the season will take place in the park of the Saint-Paul-de-Varax multipurpose hall.

Trip to New Orleans

The Stomp Factory will take the audience on a journey to New Orleans at the beginning of the 20th centurye century. Those who have ants in their legs can dance to the swings of this sparkling band. In Massieux, on July 9, the Kraken Brass Band will distil a completely different atmosphere. Its groove, jazz and Afro-beat rhythms should get the spectators moving. The interest of these concerts is to open the ears of the public. And horizons too, like this Monday, July 22 in the courtyard of the Mionnay school, where seven young Beninese musicians will come to prove that reorchestrated traditional music takes on a modern accent. All concerts start at 7 p.m.
