Welcome home, in Bazoches, in Vauban castle, with Amaury de Sigalas and in Gurgy to taste Hélix snails with Raphaël Frison
The Helix’R in Gurgyit is a wine bar, in which you can also taste the products of Escargotière Yonne Hélix, a company that is now over a century old! Raphael Frison presents us with the various Burgundy snail specialties, canned, fresh, frozen… Served in shells or croquilles, a wafer that is eaten with the snail, or even presented in mini-puff pastries for an aperitif.
In addition to snails, you will also find frog legs in parsley at Hélix’R.

Have you visited the Bazoches Castle ? His owner, Amaury de Sigalasa descendant of Vauban, tells us the story of this castle bought by his grandfather in 1675. A castle that was built in 1180, without a west wing, and it was precisely its new owner, Sébastien Le Prestre, Marshal of Vauban, who would have this “missing” wing built for what would become his family home, and the place where he would write many works. During a stay in the Morvan, take the opportunity to visit the castle, the visit lasts between 1h and 1h30, it is open every day in summer until September 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
