On June 27, 2024, at its Massy site in Essonne, Crédit Agricole launched the car sharing of six electric vehicles, in collaboration with its subsidiary Agilauto Partage. These vehicles are now available for reservation for the 1,400 employees working at this Paris region site. This is one of Crédit Agricole’s largest sites, whereas until now Agilauto Partage only deployed its services in the group’s regional branches. To mark the occasion, Agilauto Partage and Crédit Agricole organized a press conference, at which Automotive Fleets was present.

“In six months, we will carry out an initial assessment of our operation in Massy. At the same time, we will launch a similar car-sharing service on the Crédit Agricole site in Roubaix, which brings together 1,000 people,” Olivier Rossinelli, CEO of Agilauto Partage, told us. In Massy, the shared vehicles, all electric and new, are four five-seater DS 3 E-Tense (400 km range), a three-seater Peugeot E-Expert (330 km range) and a nine-seater Peugeot E-Traveller (330 km range). Three people manage this car-sharing fleet. “They remain attentive to the cleanliness of the vehicle,” said the manager. The vehicle is reserved using a mobile application and the unlocking of the reserved vehicle is also done using a smartphone.

Massy, car-sharing “showcase” for Crédit Agricole

Vincent Carré, Director of Mobility Services at Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility, explained that the 12 to 18 months following the launch of this service are dedicated to the “appropriation” of car sharing by employees. “Once the usage rate, that is to say the number of reservations compared to the potential for reservations, reaches 60 to 70%, we will expand this car sharing service with more vehicles,” assured Vincent Carré. It is indeed with this rate that it will be possible to amortize a shared vehicle that costs 1,300 euros per month all inclusive, and that it will then be possible to match it with an additional vehicle.

“Massy is the largest site where we are deploying car sharing and it will act as a showcase for this service,” Vincent Carré emphasized. “It will also be an opportunity to see how employees react to a nine-seater vehicle that we rarely see in fleets. The goal is then to deploy car sharing on other Crédit Agricole sites, starting with the Roubaix site.”

On June 27, Crédit Agricole also organized a presentation to Massy employees in the site’s auditorium. Electric vehicle car sharing will also allow employees to discover this engine. The group trains employees who are about to rent a shared electric vehicle on the automatic gearbox, how the electric vehicle works and how to recharge it.

Car sharing for professional and private uses

These shared vehicles are intended for professional and private use. Still according to Vincent Carré, if the vehicle is intended for business travel, the employee then charges the rent as an expense report. For private journeys, no expense report. As for the rental amounts, that of the DS 3 E-Tense amounts to 6 euros per hour, 15 euros per half day, 10 euros per day and 50 euros per weekend.

For the E-Expert, useful in particular for moving or transporting goods, you have to pay 25 euros for half a day, 20 euros for the evening, 45 euros for the day and 60 euros for the weekend. It will be even more for the E-Traveller which can carry groups of 9 people: respectively 35 euros, 30 euros, 80 euros and 140 euros. Note that the Massy site has a 7 kW charging station per shared vehicle. On the other hand, charging while roaming remains at the employee’s expense.
