On June 23, the departmental show jumping competition was held at the Chaumont-Choignes horse racing circle. Some 229 participants came, that alone, and the weather allowed this event to run smoothly.
There were many visitors for a beautiful show. The muscular course was concocted by course manager Louis Hennion. Everything was there to bring out the best riders and in all cases demonstrate their respective qualities whatever the levels. Jean-François Millot, president of the club, and Gérard Charles, head of the organization, had planned everything. At the score tables, we found Guy Weber, president of the jury, François Pettelat, commissioner, and the timekeepers, Denis Clerin Elise and Pierre Ampe.
Stewardship was top notch thanks to the essential volunteers, for a superb day.
