After spending ten years in the village of Maurens, the Théâtre du roi de cœur has decided to hit the road for this summer of 2024. From Saint-Georges-de-Monclard to Ménesplet via Creysse, Monpazier or the Château de Monbazillac, the actors will be able to be found from July 19 to August 9. On the program: around ten performances of the play “Un Air de famille” in July and a few additional dates with “Le Roi se meurt” from August 3 to 9. Almost every evening, the actors will unpack their refreshment bar and their ticket office before welcoming the public and making way for the play. 2 The Redneck Festival, the institution


The Rednecks welcomed more than 3,000 people in 2023.

It’s an institution in Bergerac to start the summer season. With more than twenty-five years of experience, the Festival des ploucs returns on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 July in the “city center” of Razac-de-Saussignac. On the program: lively concerts with the Toulouse group Atomic Ping Pong scheduled for Friday evening or the rock band Les Trompettes de la mort, but also theater with the company Du Chien dans les dents and “L’Année de la gagne” and a whole bunch of entertainment, especially for the youngest. 3 La Smala invites himself to the P’tit chat noir

Gargoyle Theater

For the fourth consecutive year, the La Smala festival will be held from July 15 to August 17 at P’tit Chat noir, the Gargouille site in Bergerac. In this rural cultural space with a refreshment bar offering organic and local products or picnic tables, you can especially enjoy shows. In a guinguette spirit, you can discover the famous “Cyrano de Bergerac”, recently created by the Gargouille, but also several guest companies such as Du Chien dans les dents (theater), KL, Les Barbus, Mathieu Moustache and Stacevit. The event is held every Wednesday and Saturday evening at 8 p.m. (except for Cyrano, at 9 p.m.). Participation is free (recommended price 10 euros) except for “Cyrano de Bergerac” (prices 15 and 10 euros). Reservations can be made on helloasso.

4 Musical journey to the Beau c’est festival


The group Anamorphose will play “Sauvage” on Friday August 9 at the Beau c’est festival.

Established in Bosset for eight years, the Beau c’est festival carries the defense of culture in rural areas. Committed for three years to a more family-friendly formula, with a limited budget, the event organized by the Passerelles association still promises two beautiful evenings Friday August 9 and Saturday August 10. On the program: family theater with “Sauvage” by the group Anamorphose and a traditional ball on Friday. Saturday, we will go on a musical journey with the groups Mavat, Roms of Kabylie, Lamuzgueule and Aliki set DJ. “The vast majority of artists are regional,” explains Stéphane Dugué of Passerelles. Prices: 10 to 12 euros, Friday; 12 to 15 euros, Saturday; free for children under 12.

5 The der du Pescet


The actors and volunteers will receive the public from August 21 to 24 in Colombier.

This will be the sixth and “final” edition of the Pescet festival, organized by the La Volga collective in Colombier. From August 21 to 24, the actors will be there to greet their audience one last time. Three shows, original creations, will be given by the actors. We can discover “The Aristocats” adapted to all audiences from a very young age, but also a one-off called “A young person who wins and who loses” or even “The definitive disappearance of Stéphanie Lambada (provisional title)”.
