The rumor was circulating in recent weeks in Dieppe (Seine-Maritime). Are they canceled or not? The Jeudis du quai, these concerts organized throughout the summer at the quai Henri-IV, were born at the end of the various confinements.

An event that quickly won over the public and the traders who saw their business flourish on this occasion.

A stage set up on the port side

Music lovers can rest assured: they will see the light of day. And a first meeting has already taken place on June 27 with the artist Alain de Nardis, who proposed some blues.

However, as Diane Liefooghe, manager of the bar Au Bout-là-bas, explains, we no longer speak of Jeudis du quai but of “Jeudis du Bout du Quai”.

It is no longer the Bout du quai association that organizes these concerts, but the managers of the Au bout-là-bas bar and the La Marine restaurant.

“We thought it was a shame that it no longer existed. It was nice, it brought people in and it’s good that the docks remain a lively place,” she continues.

In consultation with the municipality, a stage has been made available between Bout-là-Bas and the Mouette à vélo restaurant, on the port side.

What concerts are planned?

Regarding the July appointments, here they are:

  • a jazz concert by Latcho Trio on the 4th
  • Blues with Carny Barker on the 11th
  • Po’Boy will also be offering blues on the 18th
  • reggae is coming on the 25th with Kinkeliba

For August, rock will be on the agenda for the first two Thursdays, with The Beatles Artifact on the 1st, Blue Steel on the 8th.

On the 15th, Hot Slap will play rockabilly, The Recast will organize a pop rock concert. Finally, Los Infiltrados will close the Jeudis du Bout du quai on the 29th with a world music concert.

Concerts start from 6:00 p.m. / 6:30 p.m.
