After a first family celebration on Monday, Christian from Denmark once again celebrated his baccalaureate. The Crown Prince made another festive outing on Friday June 28, in the company of his classmates from Ordrup Gymnasium, to celebrate the end of his secondary studies.
With his promo cap on his head, can of “Smirnoff Ice” in hand, Prince Christian fully celebrated his baccalaureate diploma with his friends. A celebration which his parents attended, since King Frederik X and Queen Mary appeared in complete relaxation among the families of the young graduates. The heir’s brothers and sisters were also there: Princess Isabella (17 years old), Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine (13 years old).

It was in this high school in the north of Copenhagen that Prince Christian completed his secondary studies, which he had started in another establishment: in 2022, the Court of Denmark announced the withdrawal of the crown prince from the boarding school of Herlufsholm, after broadcast of a documentary denouncing intimidation, physical violence and sexual abuse within this elite school.
An establishment that Princess Isabella also attended, who eventually joined the Ingrid Jespersens Gymnasieskole in Copenhagen.

Prince Christian on his way to university?
The Danish Court has yet to confirm Prince Christian’s plans, now that he has completed his secondary education. Everything suggests that the future king will enroll in university at the start of the school year. Will he begin his military training at the same time, like Leonor of Spain? Nothing has yet been announced.
Plans for the Crown Prince’s future have certainly been revised and discussed following the surprise abdication of his grandmother Marghrete II earlier this year and the accession to the throne of his father Frederik X. An upheaval that occurred a few weeks after the grand gala given in honor of Prince Christian’s 18th birthday, in October at Christiansborg Palace. An anniversary for which the young man was entitled to new official portraits and a stamp bearing his image.

In mid-November, the heir also attended his very first Council of State and signed a solemn declaration of his intention to comply with the constitution. A sign of greater involvement in royal life to come?
