The EPHJ subcontracting show, very focused on watchmaking, closed its doors on Friday in Geneva. On a sharp note, the growth phase initiated after the pandemic is over. The 2024 financial year will at best be a blank year for the best-positioned companies. For the majority, the year will end in decline. A corridor score suggests a drop of between 10 and 30%.

This does not mean, however, that the sector is in agony. The correction occurs after a period of strong progress. The industry is used to this regular alternation of cycles. And Switzerland has its own net, partial unemployment, which some have already activated and which others are preparing to introduce.
