Jennifer Lopez cancels her American tour to “be with her loved ones”

Disillusionment for American fans of Jennifer Lopez. The singer announced the cancellation of her North American tour planned to promote her new album, This Is Me… Now.

According to Live Nation, in charge of organizing these shows, Jennifer Lopez made this decision in order to “be able to spend time with her family, her family and her loved ones”, we can read in a press release.

This tour was to be the singer’s first in the United States in five years. It was scheduled to begin on June 26 in Orlando and end in Houston on August 31.

In her OntheJLo newsletter, Jennifer Lopez said she was “devastated” to have had to make this decision. “I am completely upset and devastated that I let you down. Please know that I would not do this if I didn’t think it was absolutely necessary,” she wrote.

“I promise I’ll make it up to you and we’ll all be together again. I love you all so much,” adds

This tour cancellation comes as Jennifer Lopez and her husband Ben Affleck are the subject of much speculation surrounding a possible breakup. During a press conference for the release of the film Atlasin which she plays, the artist however refused to comment on these rumors.

But according to Variety, the cancellation of the singer’s American tour could also be due to a lack of fan enthusiasm for her shows. At the beginning of April, Jennifer was forced to cancel several dates of her North American tour due to a lack of tickets sold. To try to make up for the blow, the star then transformed her “This Is Me… Now” tour into a best-of of her hits – renamed “This Is Me… Live | The Greatest Hits”.
