This comparator conducted a survey of 22,232 families who had stayed in one of the 3,500 establishments listed among the 7,500 campsites present on French territory, according to data from the Fédération Nationale de l’Hôtellerie de Plein Air. The five-star campsite l’Hippocampe, located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, was crowned the best campsite in France.
