The end of a long saga. Rugby and video game fans will finally be able to play Rugby 24 or rather Rugby 25! After multiples reportsthe developers preferred to abandon the 2023-2024 edition to focus on the release of the 2024-2025 issue.
This Thursday, via a press release, the studios Big Ant Studios and Nacon explained this radical choice: “We spent a lot of time signing over 150 rugby licensing deals and traveling the world for players whenever they were available. This delay has led us to focus on the 2024 and 2025 seasons, which is why we have decided to rename Rugby 24 to Rugby 25.“
The game available in early access
But good news, the new opus will be available, in early access, from June 28. Players will be able to test the game with 21 nations available. The full game, whose release date has not been disclosed, should contain nearly 140 national teams, almost all of the countries affiliated with World Rugby, and more than 150 clubs (Top 14, Super Rugby, URC, etc.). Enticing promises, however the Australian developers specify that the experience could be marred by bugs that will be corrected during the early access period.
