The Montreal Canadiens may not have selected a Quebec player, but they called on Jules Boilard (19 years old, 6 feet 1 inches and 185 pounds) from the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. An excellent gesture from the organization!

Unlike his brother Raoul, who was selected in the 4th round (119th overall) by the Rangers, Jules did not hear his name during the last session. However, the older of the two brothers is certainly happy with the turn of events since he will be able to showcase himself during the Flannel development camp.

That said, let’s remember that the two brothers were supposed to play for an American university this season, but they changed their minds and opted for the QMJHL and the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. With the arrival of the two dynamic forwards, the Drakkar improved its roster in the blink of an eye.

Jules had a less prolific season than his younger brother, but he stood out with 50 points, including 18 goals, in 67 games. A great harvest for a first campaign in a league as competitive as the “Q”.

It should be noted that the Drakkar stood out during this 2024 amateur auction with a total of four players selected from the Vegas Sphere.
