Insiders Chris Haynes and Shams Charania confirm that the winger will sign a new five-year, $315 million contract. At $63 million per season, it’s the new biggest contract in history.
In detail, the 26-year-old will receive 54.1 million in 2025/26, 58.5 million in 2026/27, 62.8 million in 2027/28, 67.1 million in 2028/29 and finally 71.4 million in 2029/30.
The record shouldn’t last too long, as Luka Doncic will probably erase it in the summer of 2025…
For Boston, the investment for Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum is therefore substantial, while Jrue Holiday and Derrick White have also been extended. An investment that is nevertheless fully validated by the club’s 18th title… and which should not in any case cool down the buyers.
