Thirty-five students from public schools in Rodez were drawn at random to join the youth municipal council. A body set up in 2021 to explain to them what the municipal council and the town hall are for revealed Christian Teyssèdre at the start of their mandate.

The young councilors, aged 9 to 14, presented their various projects to the assembly. “They are motivated, hardworking and energetic young people.”rejoices Nadia Abbou, municipal councilor delegated in charge of youth and citizenship.

28,000 tickets sold for F’estivada

While the first year was dedicated to discovering the council and its missions, the children created five commissions the following year: sports and education, ecology, budget, communication-events and urban planning. The youth municipal council was an opportunity for Christian Teyssèdre to offer them passes to F’estivada, a music festival planned from July 11 to 13, at the stud farm in Rodez. “Which artists would you like to see on stage next year?”says the mayor. Pierre Garnier, MC Solaar, Valentina… A generation whose opinions and ideas are essential for the City.

While 30,000 tickets for F’estivada have already been sold, Christian Teyssèdre hopes to exceed 35,000 spectators.
