They left Rennes last night at 10 p.m., aboard two minibuses, in order to arrive on time for the opening of the Garorock festival in Marmande this Thursday, June 27, 2024. This group of twenty-one bretons didn’t want to miss the start of hostilities for anything in the world.

The spokespersons, Aymeric and Benjamin, do not hide their satisfaction. “We are happy to be already installed at this time (11 a.m., Editor’s note) because from experience, we know that it takes a long time. Also, we chose a good location, under trees, because we know that in full sun, we are awake at 7 a.m. » It was worth doing almost six hours drive !

“Let’s go for four days of fiesta! »

The two friends, already in place for the aperitif at the end of the morning, do not shy away from their pleasure. “We came with a big group. We are between 21 and 28 years old so we’re going to really have fun, even when some people are tired. »

While they were there watch at a pool party in Rennes, and they arrived at 4 a.m. in the city of tomatoes, Aymeric, Benjamin and others will set the mood at the Garo campsite. And they won’t be the only ones.

The annual meeting of the Basques!

A little further along the paths of the campsite, a group of seven Basques have been installed for a while.

We left Bidart at 4am and arrived around 7am in Marmande. By 11 a.m., we were well settled for an aperitif.

Friends have checked this meeting in Lot-et-Garonne. “It’s the annual meeting, it’s the only festival we do ! » Some have been coming for 6 years, for others, this is the first edition.

“We are mainly waiting Calvin Harris, Timmy Trumpets etc. But what we love most about Garorock is camping. The atmosphere is always there. This is the moment we don’t want to miss. »

For their part, Sasha and her friends come from Pau, Bordeaux and Ile de Ré respectively. “It’s our first time here. We found our little corner in the shade in the campsite. Now we’re looking forward to Calvin Harris. »
