The draw for the Wimbledon tournament took place on Friday June 28. Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray will be there in the men’s draw.

Having undergone surgery on his right knee three weeks ago, the Serbian, world number 2, will face the Czech Vit Kopriva (123rd in the world and from qualifying) in the first round. Djokovic, 37 years old and in search of an eighth crown, does not have a bare picture. He could find Holger Rune (15th), then Hubert Hurkacz (7th), and finally Alexander Zverev (4th) in the round of 16.

He therefore avoids the defending champion, Carlos Alcaraz (3rd), who finds himself alongside world number 1 Jannik Sinner. The two men could face each other in the semi-finals. The recent winner of Roland-Garros has Ugo Humbert (16th), French number 1, on his path for a potential eighth-final, then Casper Ruud (8th) in the quarter-finals. For the Italian, only Daniil Medvedev (5th) acts as a scarecrow before the semi-finals.

On the French side, Corentin Moutet was not lucky in the draw, and will face Alex de Minaur (9th) in the first round. Two duels between Tricolores are on the program, with Adrian Mannarino (22nd) against Gaël Monfils, and Alexandre Muller against Hugo Gaston. Humbert will face the Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko.

Andy Murray, initially announced as a forfeit after undergoing surgery for a spinal cyst last week, will finally be present. His warrior mentality has once again taken over his body and the 37-year-old Scot will indeed play, one last time, the Major on grass that he has won twice (2013, 2016). He will face the Czech Tomas Machac (world number 38) in the first round. Already playing since 2019 with a metal hip, he is expected to retire after the Paris Olympics this summer.
