It was supposed to be released on December 11, but finally decided to move ahead, outside of the traditional release day for films, Wednesday. “The Count of Monte Cristo”, with Pierre Niney, is in fact available in cinemas since Friday June 28.

News that delights Pierre Niney’s most impatient fans. “The Count of Monte Cristo”, in which the actor plays the title role, is now available in cinemas, six months before the initially planned date. Also, this highly anticipated and acclaimed feature film in Cannes will be able to benefit from the Cinema Festival, which takes place from June 30 to July 3, and is exceptionally unveiled on a Friday, while cinema releases are scheduled for Wednesday. Enough to also surf the summer break, while competition from American blockbusters is less pressing at the very beginning of summer.

After “The Three Musketeers” for which they signed the screenplay, Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de la Patellière, authors of “Prénom”, are producing a cinematographic adaptation of this other novel by Alexandre Dumas, known throughout the world, and which sparked the craze of critics since its first broadcast on the Croisette.

This production tells the tragic fate of Edmond Dantès, who decides to take revenge after being wrongly imprisoned. We also find in the cast Anaïs Demoustier, Bastien Bouillon, and Laurent Lafitte.
