In Quimper, the Priz Steir Eo trophies punctuated the Midsummer festivities at the Moulin-Vert [En images]

This Saturday, June 29, as part of the Moulin-Vert neighborhood party, the twelfth musical edition of the Priz Steir Eo trophy was held, organized by the Bagad Ar Meillou Glaz and for which six competitions were organized: Drum ensembles, Pipe bands (MSR and Medley), Pierre Pulvé Trophy, free trios, young and unusual couples. This afternoon of music, on the Moulin-Vert plain, allowed the public, novice or expert, to listen to varied ensembles in different parts of this rural environment.

A new feature inspired by the Guitar Hero video game appeared this year: on a free repertoire, with a mini-bagad training, the candidates aimed to stir up the clamor of the public who designated the winner by the applause meter.

Many winners

At the end of the competition, the results were announced around 7 p.m. before giving way to demonstrations by the Celtic circle Ar Meilhoù Glaz, Bagad Brieg, concerts by Heaven, an acoustic duo, Nickel des Pieds, a quartet from Quimper, DJ Propers, and the traditional night-time festivities of the Saint-Jean fire.

At the end of the morning, the Léon Goraguer school fair had awakened the neighborhood, offering stands, games, entertainment and kicking off a festive and sunny day.

The results of this day of music and entertainment are as follows: in the “Drum Ensembles” category, Drum Corp comes in first place; for “Pipe Bands (MSR)”, Ronsed Mor comes in first; Cap Caval occupies first place for the “Pipe Bands” (Medley) category; as for the Pierre Pulvé Trophy, L’helgouach/Hero is in the lead; Bagad Ar Meilhou Glaz takes the lead for the Bagad Hero category and finally, the unusual couple is none other than Serj Riou and Brenal Drezen.
