Every year, in the commune of Ranvillenear Caen (Calvados), small amounts not honored are admitted as non-value to the municipality.
The issue was raised at the last municipal council meeting, in June 2024. This year, there is no question of these sums remaining unpaid, particularly for the cellars and the nursery.

“It’s scandalous, we must honour our debts”

The municipality has decided for the moment tocancel these write-offs.

I find this scandalous. The prices of the canteen and daycare are low when you see the quality and compared to our neighbors. We have made reminders, but we have not received any feedback. We must not exaggerate. We must honor our debts.

François Vannier, first deputy in Ranville

The amount due is small, but the elected officials want it paid, on principle. This represents a total of 267,74 €mainly related to after-school activities, and one case related to a case of vandalism. The elected officials are determined to recover the sums owed.
