The exhibitions orchestrated to the millimeter continue in the White Cube of the BDF (Bar d’en face) in the city center of Lorient (Morbihan). New guest of this micro place of one square meter, Maïwenn Bouffos, former student of EESAB (higher art school of Lorient). The young visual artist offers Dancing pots in firefall. A mix of drawings and volumes linked to the artist’s research on volcanology.

“I like to fragment”

« Exhibiting within such constraints is not a problem, explains Maïwenn. I happily work on different formats. I like to fragment. The selection of drawings and objects chosen for the White Cube can be displayed without worry. » So the limited space dedicated to plastic expression is not a hindrance? “It forces you to make choices in the succession and cohabitation of drawings. I can nevertheless give you some ideas on the subjects that fascinate me.”

Whose volcanology… “Matter, fusion, destruction, constitute fascinating environments.” Maïwenn Bouffos is a member of the Lorient visual artists association Météore and a ceramics teacher for the Fracas bookstore in Lorient.

Until Tuesday July 2, 2024, exhibition visible at the White Cube of the BDF (place Polig-Monjarret). Contact: maï[email protected] Next exhibition: Manon Bekas, from July 3 to 31.
