Neighbors’ Tuesdays: Strengthening ties between downtown residents

Neighbors’ Tuesdays: Strengthening ties between downtown residents

A collective time of mutual knowledge

The City, through the social and civic life animation service, comes to meet residents of the hyper-center, tenants of buildings, families, single and isolated people. Do you live in the city center district? Come and have a coffee/tea near you! Meet your neighbors and come chat. Activities and workshops are also planned.

The objectives of these Tuesdays? Strengthen social and family ties and neighborhood solidarity, coordinate and encourage initiatives promoting collective life and residents’ taking responsibility.

In the city center sector, the approach is more complex than in the neighborhoods, where local actors, such as social centers and associations, develop actions with and towards residents.

This is why, since the summer of 2023, the social and civic life animation service, in conjunction with the Trait d’Union social support service (CCAS), has been experimentally developing this dynamic in the hyper-center, in complementarity with the actions of associations and multiple municipal policies.

Based on the principles of co-construction, professionals meet residents to start from their needs and the issues they express, in order to then build appropriate projects and actions.
