The Kingdom of Morocco is a partner ” reliable “ and a “pillar of stability” in the region, said the European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, on Monday in Rabat.
Speaking at a press briefing following his talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, the European Commissioner stressed that “Morocco, an always reliable, available and serious partner, is considered in Europe as a pillar of stability and prosperity in terms of regional security.”
Qualifying the partnership with Morocco as not only ” positive “ but also and above all« indispensable »the European Commissioner welcomed the actions carried out jointly with the Kingdom, recalling the EU’s support for the reforms carried out under the enlightened leadership of King Mohammed VI.
“In my opinion, we must now redouble our efforts to find equally practicable solutions” to overcome difficulties within a time limit « court »he insisted, expressing his institution’s readiness to “working together”.
“We are attached to all the achievements made together with Morocco and we would like to expand them,” he said again.
Furthermore, Varhelyi reviewed the actions carried out jointly with Morocco, in particular for the success of the profound reform of the social security project in the Kingdom, highlighting the commitment and know-how of the European side.
