In Fréjus, Le Forum presents its program for 2024/2025

• A show that was particularly close to your heart?

« “Dead Poets Society”. Firstly because I am a fan of this film telling the story of an iconoclastic teacher who will inspire his young students opening up to life, far from the straitjacket of conventions that their establishment embodies. This adaptation to the theater manages to concentrate the cult film without losing any of its substance. Not to mention the actor Stéphane Freiss in the emblematic role of Professor John Keating whose performance is excellent and who manages to make us forget, for the duration of the play, the excellent interpretation of the late Robin Williams. And then, we’re talking about a piece that still won six Molières ! »

• An artist you absolutely wanted in the lineup?

« The choreographer Sylvain Giroud which we have already welcomed with his show “Let’s Move”, in 2020, for the 10^e anniversary of the Forum. Sylvain Giroud’s raw material is our society, from which he always draws the positive. He has a habit of putting on shows that do good. This is why we wanted him to join our programming once again, with “The Banquet of Wonders”. An invitation to awaken our most luminous part to moving from chaos to harmony. »

• Something new that the public will be able to discover?

« For the first time this year, we are offering a festival entirely dedicated to the circus. It will take place from March 15 to 30, outside the walls, in the five municipalities of the agglomeration. Shows, exhibitions, workshops and activities will be on the program. If the complete program will be revealed in early 2025, we can already announce the show to you “The Circus Man” with David Dimitri. Cet acrobat, juggler, tightrope walker and even a technician who is none other than the son of the Swiss clown Dimitri, known worldwide in the 70s and 80s, will set up with his small marquee on the nature base of Fréjus, to present a show combining all the arts of the ring … »
