Legault against immigrants? Stop!

Legault against immigrants? Stop!
Legault against immigrants? Stop!

I thought the file was closed…

Well no!

There are still commentators who repeat that François Legault makes immigrants responsible for all the ills plaguing Quebec.

I will write very slowly so that everyone who repeats this falsehood understands…

Do people who fight poverty fight the poor?

And are those who fight obesity fighting fat people?

Well, the same goes for those who criticize mass immigration.

They don’t criticize immigrants!

They only say that an immigration policy that does not take into account the country’s reception capacity is irresponsible and risks causing more harm than good.

It’s clear, it seems to me.

You don’t need a postdoctoral degree in international politics to understand that, I think.

A social fabric is like a hammock.

You don’t expect a hammock that was made to support a weight of 350 pounds to support three people weighing 175 pounds each!

“Far right! Far right!”

It’s the same thing with multiculturalism.

A country or province that criticizes multiculturalism is not against multicultural societies!

It’s not the same thing at all.

Multiculturalism is a political model! A way to manage living together!

Being against multiculturalism does not mean that we close ourselves off to other cultures and that we wish to live in a hyper-homogeneous society!

We can be for the coexistence of several cultures in the same country while denouncing the harmful impacts of multiculturalism, which locks each community into a small ghetto!

Are people who are against socialism against living in society?

Do people who are against nationalism deny the existence of nations?

You have to be incorrigibly dishonest (or short of arguments, like the PLQ) to say that politicians who criticize mass immigration are against immigrants…

As for the extreme right label that leftists attach to all those who do not think like them: we might say Joseph McCarthy who, in the 1950s, called all those who defended social democracy communists.

Or Pol Pot who called everyone who wore glasses reactionary intellectuals.

Soon, we will be told that jogging is a far-right sport, because it is practiced alone…

QS, accomplice of anti-Semites?

Speaking of talking nonsense…

Ruba Ghazal, from QS, calls on all French people in Quebec to vote for the New Popular Front in the next legislative elections…

Do you know Boris Cyrulnik, Mrs. Ghazal? The neuropsychiatrist specializing in resilience, who saw his entire family massacred by the Nazis?

Here is what he says about the New Popular Front, set up by Jean-Luc Mélenchon of La France Insoumise (LFI): “I do not have words harsh enough to illustrate the disgust that the post-war declarations arouse deep within me. October 7 of the LFI deputies, its creator in mind. Their prevarication over the act of barbarism perpetrated by Hamas has never ceased to disgust me. In order to recover the voices of suburban residents with immigrant backgrounds, they exploit the conflict and spread repugnant anti-Semitic rhetoric.”

Is that it, QS?
