Panasonic is entering the microcosm of 24×36 sensors with the Lumix S1. Behind the marketing promises, a supercharged technical sheet for photo and video performances that are there. The whole thing is very convincing thanks to excellent ergonomics and significant customization. Panasonic achieves almost flawless performance, at the cost of a size and weight which distance the brand from the original philosophy of compactness in the hybrid camera segment.

With the Lumix S5 II, Panasonic offers a well-finished body, very versatile and finally equipped with very efficient autofocus. A device that is comfortable in photos and formidable in video, which will satisfy the greatest number of people. We can always highlight AF tracking a slight step below the competition, or even lighter autonomy, but it is clear that Panasonic’s presence on the 24×36 market is greatly improved with this S5 II.
