The former mayor of Agde was placed in pre-trial detention on March 21, more than three months ago. He was incarcerated for embezzlement by a person holding public authority, illegal taking of interests and corruption.

Gilles d’Ettore would have been manipulated by a clairvoyant, Sophia, whom he considered his daughter. Wife 44 years old, who approached the mayor in 2020, is still in pre-trial detention.

During her custody, she admitted to having used “a stratagem consisting of changing one’s voice with numerous interlocutorsincluding the mayor of Agde, detailed the prosecution in March. By using this seemingly masculine, calm and hoarse voice on the telephone, she managed to make them believe that they were in conversation with a supernatural being coming from the beyond.”

Thus, the clairvoyant would have managed to convince Gilles d’Ettore to recruit members of her family, including her own husband as technical director of the town hall. She also explained that she had benefited from gifts offered by entrepreneurs connected to the former mayor.

Au total, pseveral hundred thousand euros, more than €300,000, would have been embezzled, in particular to finance work carried out in the clairvoyant’s house.
