The chapter house hosted the opening of the exhibition of comic strips from the drawing, painting and sculpture association Bidibull’, Saturday June 22, in the presence of cartoonists of all ages, parents and friends and Joël Blaud, representing the mayor. The works are on view until June 29.

At the end of the morning, host Ludovic Bertho presented the prizes to the winners of the Angoulême school comics competition and the internal Bidibull’ competition. Vincent Augustin, 11 years old, and Evan Ménoret, 14 years old, were crowned with a bronze Petit Fauve in Angoulême. Emma Quillet, 15, and Jules Furet, 20, were the winners of the Bidibull’2024 competition. The Bidibull’ grand prize was awarded to Arthur Pilon, 12 years old.

The Chauvibull’ workshop for 6-17 year olds, set up for years in Chauvigny, had to close its doors last year for reasons of profitability. But in return, Bidibull’ has opened a new workshop for 5-14 year olds in its Prieuré room in Saint-Benoît, on Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Bet won with nineteen members upon opening.

Another subject of satisfaction, the association has seen its membership swell with one hundred and ten members. Around twenty cartoonists took part last April in the 12 Hours of Comics, with cartoonist Guillaume Bouzard as conductor.

Registrations for summer courses in drawing, painting, sculpture and bag painting are open. Price: €15 per day; €11 for members. Dates of the courses: from 1is to July 5; July 22 to 26; from July 29 to August 2; from August 19 to 23; from August 26 to 30. Reception in the priory room between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
