ROCHEFORT-DU-GARD A little taste of Italy comes to the Preambles on July 5, 6 and 7

The Préambules festival in Rochefort-du-Gard has been making its mark on the cultural landscape of the town for seven years now. On July 5, 6 and 7, the shows will take place at the wash house, at the Castelas, in the Mistral room and in the streets of the village.

This festival is always organized by 2068 la Compagnie. The trip and the Italian origins of some members of the company will be evoked through the programming of this 2024 edition. First stopover in Campania from Friday July 5, at 9 p.m., at the Castelas, with the concert “Un Caffè a Napoli” provided by the voice and accordion duo bringing together Lilia Ruocco and Léa Lachat. They will perform an original repertoire where Neapolitan classics will mix with little-known pieces from Puglia or Sicily. A change of scenery guaranteed. Just before, on Friday at 7 p.m., these two artists will offer Tarantelle therapy, a street show taking the form of a stroll starting from Avenue Frédéric-Mistral.

Saturday July 6 will begin at 11 a.m. with the “Silk” show at the wash house (free participation). Coco Dolle and the Teenagers will put on their permanent installation “Pas/Sage” at the Mistral room from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. The afternoon will begin with music and an atmosphere sweet life, with the “Ital’hits” show at 1 p.m., under the trees of Avenue Mistral. At 9 p.m., time for the comedy “Controllo” at Castelas which invites you to travel, reconciliation and freedom during a pilgrimage of more than 2,000 km on the roads of La Botte. At 10 p.m., the Castelas belvedere will turn into a film concert with “Le Génie de Bricolo”, between absurd and fantastic.

On Sunday July 7, there will still be time to see the “Pas/Sage” installation all day long. Otherwise, the appointment is at 7 p.m. at Castelas with the performance “Stay over”, born from a laboratory between a choreographer and a musician who explore dreams, between dance and piano. The festival will end at Place Mistral, with the “Happy Mess”, a pop-rock ball where the legends of the register will come back to life thanks to Tom Windrif on guitar and vocals, Liz Scurr on bass and vocals, Rémi Charmasson on guitar and Bruno Bertrand on drums.

On Saturday and Sunday, festival-goers will also be able to take a moment of relaxation thanks to the foot reflexology offered next to La Poste. They will be able to quench their thirst and eat at the Olivettes refreshment bar on Friday and Saturday evenings at Le Castelas. On Sunday evening, a food truck will be set up at Place Mistral.
