Despite a notable absence linked to a serious knee injury, the second row Michael Capelli has just marked its commitment to the Section Paloise by renewing its contract until 2027, with an optional year.
An event which underlines the club’s faith in the resilience and value of its player.
Capelli’s combat journey
Michael Capelli has had no luck this season. After rupturing his anterior cruciate ligaments against La Rochelle in January, his career with Pau came to a halt, forced to leave the field and miss the final phase with his team.
But, proof of the esteem and conviction that the Section has in him, he was rewarded with a two-year contract extension, until 2027, and an optional year.
A guarantee of the future despite the ordeal
The decision of the Paloise Section to focus on Hair, despite his injury, is a strong signal. This 27-year-old player, a globetrotter on the pitch since his debut at Voiron then at Grenoble, and having worn the colors of all the national youth teams, represents a strategic pillar for the team.
His coach, Sébastien Piqueronieseven describes it as:
“a determined, warlike and valiant player”

Echoing the combative spirit that drives the club’s project.
Mutual trust
Faced with this mark of confidence, Hair does not hide his gratitude:
“This extension is a great mark of confidence from the club in me and I really want to thank them”

His signing not only demonstrated his qualities on the pitch, but also his commitment and determination to be a key element for Pau.
It remains to be hoped, for him as for the Pau supporters, a victorious return to the field to celebrate together this new adventure which extends until 2027, or even longer.
The horizon is thus brightening for this player, who despite the ordeal has managed to maintain the confidence of a club determined to build on its strengths and look towards the future.
Hair, determined to come back strong, perfectly illustrates resilience and hope, values intrinsic to rugby and the vision of the Paloise Section.
