This Wednesday, September 18, 2024, France Télévisions revealed that Titouan, 14 years oldwould be the artist who will carry the French colors on the international scene.

And for TV fans, Titouan is no stranger to the public. Viewers discovered him in 2022 in The Voice Kidswhere, at the age of 11, he had impressed the four coaches with his vocal talent. Although he had chosen to join Julien Doré’s team, he had unfortunately been eliminated during the battles. The young Titouan had not said his last word since he returned to TF1 two years later in the show Dream Teamwhich he won with his team, led by Matt Pokora.

For Junior Eurovision 2024, Titouan, originally from Quimper, will defend France with song Like this, like that. This title promises to make the audience dance thanks to a rhythmic melody, supported by numerous instruments and claps. “There are a lot of instruments and we added a lot of claps. The idea is to create a kind of communion on stage.”explained Alexandra Redde-Amiel, director of entertainment at France Télévisions and head of the French delegation, in an interview given in 20 minutes. A title of which Titouan is also very proud as he confided in a press release: “I hope that with each listening, it will make each of us more tolerant, more caring and more respectful.”
The song will be officially unveiled at the end of the day this Wednesday, September 18, 2024, and Titouan hopes that it will encourage everyone to be more tolerant and kind.. As for the organization of the contest, the 22nd edition of the Junior Eurovision will be held in Madrid, although France won the previous edition. Traditionally, the winning country hosts the event the following year, but France Télévisions has decided to hand over the organization to Spain, which came in second place in 2023. According to Alexandra Redde-Amiel, this choice is explained by the particular context of 2024, marked by the Olympic Games. She stressed that “making way for another culture after two editions in France seemed to be the right decision.” This is why Spain will host this European competition in November, for a spectacle awaited by all.
